Code would not go away after many attemps to rectify. But he and the Service team have not given up and now in contact with GM Canada they want to make it right. Dealer is where my vehicle belongs for many reasons...
the service dept. was good Dustin got the sensor for the DEF in six days to get our SUV. back on the road. Ian Gray the dealer ship owner lent us a new SUV. and we had it for the week, we did not have to rent a car which was great.
The staff and technicians/mechanics are efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. I was impressed to see they draw attention by video to areas that may not always be visible to their clientele. Kudos 😊
Went to GM for my annual spring check up and they have a new truvideo which is fantastic as it shows your vehicles issues that need attention. As always Spenser was my service advisor and he kept me updated thru the process. I’ll give a shout out to him for always being attentive to my never ending questions!

Excellent , professional experience with Salmon Arm GM and with Rod and Steve. I purchased this vehicle basically sight unseen and they answered all my questions promptly and clearly. They negotiated fairly with no hesitation. made sure I was fully informed on all terms and conditions and when I arrived at the Dealership from over 6 hours away they made sure I was promptly looked after and back on the road home with a minimum of fuss and delay. excellent experience and a credit to both gentlemen for making the process as easy as it was.
I have worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years. In fact, I worked in sales for a GM dealer and I can say that Salmon Arm GM is a great store. We were passing through town and needed an oil change. Not only did our truck go into the shop on time but the service advisor informed us that we needed some recalls done that they were happy to take care of while the truck was in the shop. Even with me working at a GM dealership, my truck would never have been through the shop in such a timely fashion . At Salmon Arm GM they got us through the shop in record time and we got a complimentary car wash too. The technician took a video walk around during the service to show us things they were doing and what needed to be addressed. Amazing service and Salmon Arm GM sets the standard they everyone else show strive to hit. Ian Gray is such a good guy and it reflects in his staff and his store. Great job everyone.

I felt the numbers given, both for the trade in and the purchase, were reasonable and fair. This gained my confidence with the sales team. Darren came in on a day off to show me the vehicle which made it really easy for me to fit into my schedule. Darren is a friendly, personable, and direct salesperson and I appreciated that.

Best car wash in town and I’ve tried them all. The Salmon Arm GM car wash is so thorough that it washes under the vehicle as you put through the wash getting all the winter road chemicals off the truck and then they used multiple cleaners on the exterior of the truck and then finally air blowing all the water off with extremely little residue left over. I keep returning to their wash.
Spoke with Ryan about an emergency tire repair (we were travelling with an RV) and he bent over backwards to help us out!He got us a replacement tire quickly and dropped everything to install it immediately when we showed up.Awesome service!!!

Excellent service
Shortly after leaving Scotch Creek pulling our 5th Wheel, only 2 days prior the fire evacuation order, our Chev Duramax Diesel lost power and the check engine light came on. We managed to get into Salmon Arm on our way to Calgary and found no other repair shops willing to look at our problem immediately. Serendipity came when late in the day we found Salmon Arm GM dealership on the East End and managed to talk with Michelle Shannik, Service Agent who put us at ease that they could look at the problem the next morning. In the meantime we could park the trailer in their adjacent lot. Next to the #1, the sleep wasn't great, but our relief sure was, especially considering that this could have happened through the Rogers Pass. The mechanics were a bit delayed but Michelle had accurately diagnosed the issue as a problem with the Mass Air Filter Sensor. She waived the diagnosis fee when it came time to pay. When does that ever happen? We are so grateful for how we were treated that we will consider buying from this dealership on our next purchase and having any required servicing done if we are in the area.

In the 40 yrs of owning vehicles I have never made a mistake that has cost me so much and the icing on the cake was the worst experience in my 40 yrs of how a dealership treated me . The job I got done was off warranty and I gave them specific instructions on how I wanted the job done . Not only did they not followed them they made the situation much much worse . I was lied to mislead and parts where broke then lied about none of my instructions where written down and the actually did pretty much everything to sabotage my truck as they could . I know there r good ppl there but the situation I was in they only worried about themselves. I would recommend highly that if u r getting work done there to check the work order before they can proceed and all used parts be looked at before discarded . I’m not sure how I go from here but further investigation is required and maybe even legal action may have to proceed. I like shopping local but not sure how I proceed from here
Buying the right vehicle is challenging at the best of times, but throw in a pandemic, now that really makes it challenging! We talked to Ian and his team and they made it happen. Our timeline for purchase and delivery was discussed and we were updated weekly on the progress of our vehicles arrival. The hours that were spent with Ian and the team choosing options and configuring the build were invaluable. Absolutely everything we wanted in a truck was delivered as promised. The purchase was stress free and the price was more than fair. We would highly recommend that you speak to Ian and his team at Salmon Arm GM before you look anywhere else.

From out of town on vacation had a brake issue on the truck. Dealer was excellent in getting me in and out and working with me including arranging a rental car. Good mechanical diagnosis traced the problem to a recall. Awesome service and a car wash included! Highly recommend!
